1898

It Began as a Pastry Atelier
The story of Federico Salza began in Turin in 1898, when grandfather Federico founded an esteemed pastry and artisan chocolate atelier. Defined by craftsmanship and uncompromising quality, the company quickly established a reputation for refinement and distinction.

1920–1930

The Move to Tuscany
During the 1920s, the business expanded through Lucca and Viareggio before settling in Pisa in 1927. Here, the Salza family introduced Piedmontese elegance and “bon ton” to Tuscany — a sensibility that would remain a defining characteristic of the brand.

1931

Royal Appointment
In Pisa, the family’s meticulous attention to detail and impeccable service drew the attention of the House of Savoy during their stays at the San Rossore estate. In 1931, Federico Salza was appointed official caterer to the Royal Household — a recognition that marked a defining moment in the company’s history.

1950 – Present

Leaders in Luxury Catering
Under the leadership of Federico Salza, son of Silvio Salza, the family enterprise evolved into one of Italy’s foremost luxury catering institutions. Today, alongside his daughters Virginia and Federica and a highly qualified team, the company continues to uphold its legacy — blending heritage craftsmanship with contemporary excellence to deliver exceptional events in Italy and internationally.

With 35 years of experience, Federico has upheld and advanced his family’s legacy in a leading Italian establishment. His visionary approach makes him a sought-after expert among agencies and industry leaders for his continuous innovation and consistent results.

Virginia Salza

Owner, Event & Business Administrator
As the eldest daughter of Federico, Virginia became the sole administrator of Federico Salza srl in 2005. In 2006, she became a partner at Federico Salza Catering srl. Currently, Virginia serves as personnel director, overseeing key operations and coordinating events for the company.

Federica Salza

Owner, Client & PR Director
Holding a bachelor’s degree in Literature and Philosophy and a Master’s in Business Management from the University of Pisa, Federica has been a partner in the family business since 2006. She specialises in client management and luxury event planning, expertly curating unforgettable experiences that reflect the highest standards of sophistication and elegance.
